Hidden File Finder is a utility application designed to allow users to locate and identify hidden files throughout the local hard drive. The app identifies different hidden files of different extensions, including EXEs, COMs, and DLL, and organizes them by color. Hidden files are grouped and highlighted in red and or black, and directories are highlighted in blue. The Hidden File Finder supports users accessing file and folder properties to make them visible using the operating system’s interface.
The user interfaces for Hidden File Finder is neatly designed with all the necessary information displayed on one screen. Users have the option to scan the entire drive or specific directories. The results of the inquiry include a color-coordinated display of the total files scanned, the number of hidden files found, and the number of regular files. After the utility has completed the scan, located along the bottom of the app are the options to delete unwanted hidden files, unhide and save an HTML file of a detailed report of the scan results.
